lzc -S is probably not a complete feature.  It was added for debugging, so it easy for me to believe that you cannot actually compile the output of lzc -S.

You could leverage off the lzo compiler to get a better implementation of -S, since the output of that _is_ compilable.  I can't recall if maybe we already tried to do that.
