I believe it is reasonably accurate, although I've not used it recently.  Since the DHTML back-end and the SWF9/10 back-end share the phase that inserts backtrace and profile annotation, it should work in swf9/10 also now.  Best bet is to just give it a try.  Note that if you are building from source, the dev builds do not build the profiled versions of the LFC by default -- you need to enable it in build.properties, but the production and nightly distributions all have them pre-built.

You can also use the Firebug and/or Flex profilers, although that makes it a little harder to relate the data back to your LZX source.
