I'll add your notes to the JIRA along with my comment.
I think I've gone as far as I'm able for this release, given the time  
involved,
so I think we need to defer the next chunk of work for another release.

Right now, it's just lfc.lzx.  But since we're picking up the input  
from the same XML format that the component doc goes through,
it shouldn't (in theory) be very hard to get there from here.  Once we  
hook it in though, I'm sure there will be some futzing
to get it working right.
