DENG is an amazing piece of code, and I'm impressed that you got it to work
I've heard it's tricky integrating SWF files with ActionScript code into
OpenLaszlo, but your solution certainly works well.
I'd like to better understand the issues and limitations of integrating SWF
resources that have ActionScript code in them with the OpenLaszlo runtime.
(And figure out how to transcend or work around those limitations of
One limitation I ran across when trying to get the video to work, is that I
couldn't directly compile a SWF 8 file into my OpenLaszlo application as a
resource, so I had to load it dynamically instead.
Does the ActionScript code need to be carefully written to avoid any
conflicts with global variables and stuff like that?
Does the DENG ActionScript code go out of its way to "play nice" in that
way, so it's more modular and reusable than the ordinary bear?
I would love to play around with Flash Bitmaps (the noise() function would
be perfect for generating TV static), but I can't figure out how to import

Sorry, that message escaped before it was done :-)
Bottom line is -- interesting work, and I'd like to hear how you see an
integration going, how it would be used, etc.
